Insurance Group of New England Mission Statement
The Insurance Group of New England is an insurance service organization formed to enable its member independent agents in New England to thrive in a changing marketplace. The Group structure allows its members to compete with larger competitors by accessing multiple marketplaces through many carrier partnerships and by offering a variety of products, including both insurance and financial services. The Group members benefit from sharing technological and automation operations, sharing each member's knowledge and experience, and ultimately sharing in financial rewards.
Founded by Len Sevigney in 1997, the Sevigney Group was formed as a service company that allows small, independent agents to remain independent, yet gain access to the economies of scale found in the larger agencies. The Sevigney Group provides access to multiple insurance companies which translates to competitive products for our customers.1997
By 2002, the Sevigney Group welcomed 4 new agencies. This allowed the Group to expand and offer coverage throughout New England.2002
The Sevigney Group expands to 12 agencies throughout New England. As the agency number grow, so does the quality of the customer service and the ability to find the best coverage at the lowest rate as the Group now represents over 15 carriers.2008
The Sevigney Group formally changes it's name to The New England Insurance Group. With over 15 agencies representing 30+ carriers, our goal of providing world-class customer service and assuring our clients the best possible rate for all their insurance needs is the foundation we're established on.2012
As we head into the future, the goal is to concentrate our efforts within the New England area. We are presently located in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. We are not looking to grow in numbers, but in quality. The New England Insurance Group has been rebranded to The Insurance Group of New England.2015
